Bringing Home Baby

Anticipating needing an extra helping hand once baby arrives? or have you landed home and feel like you can't keep your head above water?

A post partum doula can help ease the transition of a growing family using her specialized skill set.  Your post partum doula will blend in seamlessly within your household and take care of the little things that get in the way of rest, healing and bonding with your new baby. 

Available for day-times and overnights, in increments of 4,6 or 8 hour shifts. 

You can rest easy knowing that your baby is in the very best hands. Erin has extensive experience working with infants and new families. She also worked as a nurse for 11 years and worked in mental health &  Pediatric Emergency dept. In addition to all her experience and training, she also has raised 4 children who now range in ages from 6-21 yrs old. Being a mother herself, she knows how to care for your little one like it's her own. 

What will our doula do?

  • Supporting mom and partner by bringing baby to breast for feedings at night

  • Bottle feeding, if desired

  • Light housekeeping

  • Setting up and organizing the nursery

  • Baby laundry

  • In-person emotional support & education

  • Providing and teaching newborn comfort and soothing

  • Answering your questions about expected newborn behaviors

  • Explaining newborn care

  • Facilitating parent-newborn bonding

  • Help with gentle sleep coaching

  • Assist with mom's emotional and physical recovery after birth

  • Provide explanation and encouragement for common newborn questions and concerns

  • Assist with feeding support whether by breast or bottle

  • Meal planning & preparation

  • Help with sibling transition

  • Emotional support during the first few months of bringing home baby

  • Additional support for moms and/or dads as they go back to work following maternity or paternity leave

  • Newborn childcare and babysitting for date night, weddings, events, etc.

  • Night duty and twins rate $45/hour base.
